One of the problems with a van is space. Another one is all the different regulations in every country about how to deal with the gas tanks.
So I decided to place a 55 liter LPG tank under the car so both problems would be solved. Saves space/ easy filling of the tank/ less regulations just a checkup every 2 years.
The LPG is for the kitchen (and oven :-)) and for the water boiler.
Grey water tank
This is also placed under the car in between the main frame. This tank is 48 liter and if we shower we have to empty it every other day/ or before we start driving. Not a big problem. There
wasn't any more space under the car due to the spare wheel and lpg tank. placing it underneath the van makes it easier to drain the water due to the downward movement. So no need to install an
extra pump in-between the sinks, shower and tank.
White water tank
The white water tank is a 93 liter tank and I placed it inside. In between the wheels underneath our soon to be bed. This part of the car can handle the most weight and the tank can be placed
In between the watertank and the kitchen/ shower/ gasboiler I placed a waterpump. Shurflo
so we have enough pressure on the water with a maximum of 2.8 bars
It makes some noise but building a cabinet around it and insulating it with xtrem will reduce the noise. Besides that it never runs very long.
As mentioned above we installed a Truma gasboiler, because we wanted hot water for a quick shower and doing the dishes while we're not on a camping.
gasboiler runs on LPG and can heat the water up to 70 degrees C.
So no electricity from the pole necessary to have a warm shower.
